Hello Friends, happy Friday! Today I thought it would be fun/different to share my updated workout routine with you. I’ve gotten a lot of questions on how I stay fit and I thought it would be a good idea to do a whole blog post on it. (Click any of the above pink links to find where my gear is from!)
RUNNING: If you didn’t know I am a huge fan of running. I used to absolute HATE it and then when my husband got deployed I found it to be such a stress reliever. I first started going to Orange Theory classes which you usually run around three miles and then started doing the same at our home gym. I am preparing for a half marathon in September and I downloaded Ivory Lane’s Running Guide. I loved her schedule and it made it really easy to stick too. A week into the guide I realized I needed a good pair of running shoes instead of my Nike’s. I chose the Brooks Glycerin 16 Road Running Shoes. They’re the best pair of shoes I’ve ever worn and they’re super cushioned and feel supportive with every step. I HIGHLY recommend. Even better, I get compliments every time I wear them! I also absolutely love their gear. The high waisted crop leggings are perfect for running because they stay in place. They’re also breathable with its mesh panels.
BBG: I like to do BBG in between days of my longer runs. It’s a 28 min workout and you can pick which area you would like to target. These workouts are really tough and I am almost always sore after them. My favorite is that you can do the workouts at home!
WALKS: I also take a walk every night with my dog and it helps me get my steps in too (LOL). To track my steps and calories I have been using Kate Spade’s new Smartwatch.
HYDRATE: I’ve always hated drinking water but I’ve learned how important drinking water is, especially when i’m running long miles. My Bevada water bottles have helped me drink so much more water and it keeps my drinks cold for over 24 hours too. I’ve loved these bottles so much they gave me a promo code to share! Use code ALISMITH15 to get 15% off your entire order.
